Ed McPherson
President

Ed joined the company in 1969 in an effort to grow the stabilization division of Mt. Carmel Sand & Gravel.  After 40 years of service, Ed has been largely responsible for nearly every innovation that has us where we are today.  This includes our equipment development, material knowledge and construction practices, construction techniques and personnel development.  He worked primarily in the field for nearly 30 years as a hands on project manager.  His name is synonomous with Mt. Carmel Stabilization and he has passed along his knowledge and experiences to many in his family including his son's Mike and Doug. Over the years, Ed has been instrumental in the growth of the soil stabilization industry in much of the country and today Ed provides the leadership and direction to keep Mt. Carmel Stabilization on top.

Mike McPherson

Vice President

Growing up in the business, Mike joined the company full time in 1990 and worked as a field superintendent until 1998.  Mike acts as estimator and project manager on the majority of DOT projects as well as all projects outside of our primary region.

Doug McPherson

Like his brother Mike, Doug grew up in the business and joined the company full time in 1993.  Doug worked as a field superintendent for five years and now is an estimator and project manager for all projects in the state of Indiana.

Phil Hipsher

Chief Financial Officer

After several years as a CPA doing the books for Mt. Carmel Stabilization, Phil joined the company in 1994 and is responsible for all company financial matters.

Gregg Shaw

Estimator and Project Manager - Northern Illinois, Wisconsin and St. Louis

Gregg worked in the field for Mt. Carmel Stabilization throughout high school and college and joined the company full time in 1991.  He worked as a field superintendent for seven years and now is an estimator and project manager for all projects in Northern Illinois, Wisconsin and St. Louis.

Estimator and Project Manager - Ohio and Kentucky

Pat joined Mt. Carmel Stabilization in 1994 as a field superintendent. In 2005 he took on his current role as an estimator and project manager for Ohio and Kentucky.

Marketing Manager

Neil joined the company in 2008 with an extensive background in the technical aspects of soil stabilization and several years of sales and marketing experience in the industry.  Neil represents the company in our various trade associations and handles all marketing activities throughout the country.

Estimator and Project Manager – Northeast US

In an effort to grow our presence and develop the markets in the northeast region of the country, we have opened a new office in Pittsburgh, PA, led by Dave Cannon.  Dave comes to Mt. Carmel with over 20 years of asphalt recycling and soil stabilization experience and serves as current president of The Asphalt Recycling and Reclamation Association (ARRA).
