SuperSlurry is a revolutionary new liquefied Cement and Lime Kiln Dust (LKD) slurry system developed by TXI through years of research and trials. The Quest to be Dust FreeOver the years at Mt. Carmel Stabilization Group, we have developed patented spreading equipment that drastically reduces fugitive dust during spreading of dry materials. LKD and Portland Cement are very fine, lightweight materials that makes dust control difficult. Although our spreading equipment is effective in reducing fugitive dust, we’ve found that the only way to completely eliminate fugitive dust during spreading is to put the material down in a liquid slurry form. Attempts to make slurry with cementious products such as LKD and Portland Cement has proved challenging. When water is added to these products, hydration occurs immediately and common retarders, i.e. those used in concrete, tend to limit their effectiveness in soil stabilization and full depth reclamation. Common slurry made with Quicklime, LKD and Portland Cement has only 30% solids and 70% water. This limitation makes it impossible to use common slurry in wet soil. SuperSlurry technology eliminates these issues and provides a truly unique slurry “suspension”. The result is a high quality, high solids content slurry that is as versatile and effective as these materials are in dry form. The difference is that the material is COMPLETELY DUST FREE. Dust Free Application for Urban ProjectsSuperSlurry is a product built for soil stabilization and full depth reclamation in urban settings. Because of the dust sensitive nature of urban construction projects, subgrade problems typically result in costly undercutting and the importation of aggregate and geotextiles. Designers and contractors are forced to use these methods at a premium cost, because even the smallest amount of fugitive dust from dry spreading during soil stabilization is unacceptable. SuperSlurry is DUST FREE and now offers the savings of soil stabilization on all urban projects. Full Depth Reclamation is a process typically used to rehabilitate municipal and county roads in rural areas. Because of SuperSlurry FDR can now be used in places it’s needed most: urban city streets. To learn more about SuperSlurry please go to the “More Information” page or call Mt.
